| Moving to A Piece of Paradise Paradise, like any other location, has much to offer the future resident. The Englewood area has been called the "gem of the Seacoast" with good reason! We want you to have a comfortable understanding of our area before you make that decision The Englewood - Cape Haze Peninsula rests on the waters of Lemon Bay and the Myakka River, which is part of the Charlotte Harbor Estuary System, and our barrier islands border the Gulf of Mexico. We are unincorporated and our area stretches from the boundaries of South Venice and North Port in South Sarasota County to the Myakka River in Charlotte County. Because we are unincorporated we have the best of both worlds. We do not have a municipality or town hall - the Chamber building is a good substitution! However, where you choose to live in the Englewood - Cape Haze area, will determine which county government will work with you. If you do not find what you want here, please visit Charlotte County at www.charlottecountyfl.com and Sarasota County at www.co.sarasota.fl.us for more details on services, taxes and government organization. You will find some of the best schools and hospitals in the State of Florida. Our business community also stands ready to serve you. Please visit our membership directory and see all that we have to offer! |
